The "Cute as a Hair on a Biscuit" sticker was designed as a gift incentive to be given out to anyone who donated $50 or more to the following campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/don-wyatt-needs-you# which closed, fully funded, on March 9, 2019.

My friend, Kim Jordan created the Go Fund Me account to raise $40,000 so that our mutual friend Don Wyatt could get care needed to deal with chronic Lyme disease. Don had been battling this illness for about 5 years on his own. It was an intense struggle just for him to find out what illness he had, because the symptoms of Lyme can be difficult to identify, especially if it has laid dormant for many years. By the time he finally figured out he was dealing with Lyme, and found a doctor who could help him cure his chronic symptoms, Don's financial resources had been drained and his illness was taking a huge toll on his wife and child.

According to Kim Jordan's research that was shared on her GoFundMe page, chronic Lyme patients can get well, due to recent progress made by devoted researchers. The road to recovery, can be long and must be strategic because of multiple system dissemination and the weakened state of the patient caused by delayed treatment as well as the toxic die-off from effective treatment. Insurance companies aren't required to cover Lyme Disease treatment beyond one course of antibiotics and many individuals and families have gone into economic hardship from the combination of disability, desperation, and out-of-pocket expenses.

In an effort to begin raising funds for causes I believe in through art, I made this campaign the first project of my concept shop: artlovefriend.com. It was an exhilarating experience to see first hand how hundreds of friends could get together and just share a little bit of money to raise enough to secure a loved one's well being.

I'm so proud to have been a part of this movement to fund Don's health care and will be donating 50% of all profits from the continued sale of the original incentives from this project to lymelightfoundation.org for a limited time.

After the GoFundMe Project was fully funded, Kim and I wanted any other funds we raised to help children battling Lyme and so we found lymelightfoundation.org through some online research. They give grants to fund treatment for children who have Lyme disease. The "Cute as a Hair on a Biscuit" sticker and mug will be available for sale through my shop at artlovefriend.com.
